THRIFTY GAL began as I rekindled my love for unique vintage treasures. I had recently quit my job as an engineer as I'd become disillusioned with the difference I was really making (none). It was a way for me to get back in touch with my roots. During school, my friends & I habitually visited op shops, upcycled clothes and organized photoshoots.

As I followed this passion, I became aware of the harmful and unethical practices in the fast fashion industry. This motivated me to challenge the norm and advocate for a more sustainable fashion lifecycle.
